PING ChipR is for you if you struggle a bit with chip shots around the green and want more calm and control in your hands. It is a smart blend of wedge and putter – designed to make your short shots both easier and more predictable.
You use it from up to about 40 yards from the green, where you can make a putter-like stroke with plenty of precision and distance control. Perfect if you often top or “chunk” your chips.
The head is cast in 431 stainless steel and perimeter-weighted for high stability and a solid feel. The arched sole glides cleanly through short and medium grass, while the Hydropearl Chrome finish and MicroMax grooves provide better contact, spin and control – even in damp conditions.
The built-in composite badge dampens vibrations, giving you a soft, pleasant feel through impact. The result is a club that oozes quality and PING craftsmanship – and that builds on Karsten Solheim’s original idea of an easy-to-play chipper.
